Kate Elizabeth Bamel
March 26, 2012 — March 21, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Kate Elizabeth Bamel. Born on March 26, 2012, in Havertown, Pennsylvania, Kate left us just a few days shy of her 14th birthday, on March 21, 2026. She courageously battled scoliosis, a condition that ultimately took her from us, but her spirit remains as an enduring testament to the love she shared with the world.
Kate was the cherished daughter of Amanda and Paul Bamel, who were endlessly proud of her kind heart and gentle nature. Her innate kindness and unyielding compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Kate was predeceased by her dear brother Luke Bamel and her treasured friends Nina and Audrey, with whom she shared many joyful moments.
Kate attended Havertown Middle School, where she reached the 8th grade. Though her formal education was brief, her impact was profound, leaving a lasting impression on her peers and teachers alike. Kate's love for field hockey was well known, as she played with a passion and determination that inspired her teammates. Her dedication to the game was only surpassed by her commitment to her faith and her church community.
Though she never pursued formal employment, Kate found her calling in service to others. Her involvement with the Bethany Church brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She was known for her unwavering faith and her enthusiasm for church activities, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who attended.
A service to honor Kate's life will be held on April 3, 2026, at 2:36 PM at Bethany Church. We invite all who knew and loved Kate to join us in celebrating her life and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Bethany Church in Kate's memory, supporting the causes she held dear. Contributions can also be directed to The Kansas Kate Memorial, established to continue Kate's legacy of kindness and compassion.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Nina Dziewit for her unwavering support and love during this difficult time. The memories of Kate's laughter, her kindness, and her gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Kate Elizabeth Bamel's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of grace. We find solace in knowing that she is now reunited with her brother and friends, watching over us with a smile. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
