Karyl Milanec

Karyl Milanec (Koehler), a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, & soon-to-be great-grandmother, peacefully departed this life on October 21, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by the warmth & love of her family. Born on May 8, 1948, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Karyl was the cherished daughter of the late George & Pauline Koehler. She was predeceased by her parents & her dear brother, Alan Koehler. Karyl is survived by her husband: Bob Milanec, children: Dyann Engelking (Johnny), Kristina Engelking, Richard Milanec (Melissa), & Russel Milanec (Katie), 8 grandchildren: Justen, Nick, Kacie, Kayn, Riley, Jackson, Madison, & Ray. She eagerly anticipated the arrival of her 1st great-grandchild, due in 2027, & her brother: Don Koehler. Karyl's memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. A private family service will be held to honor Karyl’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Cancer Research in Karyl Milanec’s memory.
