Karon Scott, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world on August 21, 2026, leaving a legacy of love and laughter. Born on December 28, 1965, in Hampton, Virginia, Karon was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Jacqueline Scott. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of family, kindness, and the simple joys that brought her peace. Karon's journey began in Hampton, where she graduated from Kecoughtan High School in 1984. With a heart full of generosity, she dedicated much of her career to customer service, a field in which she excelled until 2018. It was then that she chose to focus entirely on her cherished family and doting on her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. The beaches of Virginia were Karon's sanctuary. She found solace in the rhythmic sounds of the waves and the scent of saltwater, spending countless hours collecting shells and sea glass. These moments by the ocean were her refuge, a place where she could breathe deeply and find tranquility. Karon's love knew no bounds, and she was profoundly devoted to her children, Steven Pierce, Heather Norman and her husband Brian, and Vanessa Grey and her husband Wayne. Her greatest joy came from watching her family grow, and she was an adoring grandmother to Seth and Abel Pierce, Myaa Norman, and Robert Grey. Every moment spent with them was a treasure, and she delighted in creating memories that would last a lifetime. Known for her infectious laughter and boundless kindness, Karon had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel cherished. Her heart was as vast as the ocean she loved, and her presence was a gift to all who knew her. Her humor and warmth made every gathering brighter, and she never missed an opportunity to bring happiness to others. Karon is survived by her loving siblings, Kevin Reca and his wife Robin, Robert Scott Jr. and his partner Brian, Lecia Reca, and Paul Reca. She is also remembered fondly by many nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends who were touched by her spirit.
