Karla was the cherished daughter of Charles and Geraldine, and she shared a special bond with her twin brother, Karl, and sisters Marilee and Cheryl, who have all preceded her in passing. She now joins them in eternal rest, along with her beloved sons, Shawn and OJ, and her precious grandchildren, Martez and Nila.
A proud graduate of Beaumont High School in St. Louis, Karla was known for her sharp intellect and compassionate spirit. Her education laid the foundation for a life dedicated to nurturing and caring for those around her. Her warm presence and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her.
Karla’s legacy lives on through her two loving children, Conrad Williams (Lucille) and Marchelle Epperson (Mike), who were the light of her life. Her nurturing spirit extended to her surviving brothers, Eric (Vergil), Steve, and Kevin, and her sister, Delores, with whom she shared countless cherished memories.
Her role as a grandmother was one she treasured deeply, and she was affectionately known as "Grandma" to her six grandsons: CJ, Ahmad, OJ, Correon, Lil Mike, and Brandon, and her beloved granddaughter, Bianca. Her family expanded to include two great-granddaughters, Ilyhona and A’Riyha, and three great-grandsons, Daishawn, Hassani, and Knahmiir.
Three Nephews and Three Nieces and Two Special daughters in love: Shawna and Renee.
In each of them, Karla’s spirit continues to flourish, a testament to the love she bestowed so freely.
Karla’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days. The kindness and support shown by the medical staff brought comfort during a challenging time, and their efforts will forever be appreciated.
As we bid farewell to Karla, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman who was a beacon of love and strength. Her legacy is etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains forever in our hearts, guiding us with the love and wisdom she imparted.
A memorial service to honor Karla’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share memories and pay tribute to a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karla’s name to a charity of choice, continuing her legacy of kindness and generosity.
