Born in the bustling city of New York, NY, on February 1, 1965, Karine was the cherished daughter of the late William and Elsie Guillou. Her parents, who predeceased her, instilled in her the values of compassion, resilience, and kindness—traits that Karine carried with her throughout her life and shared with everyone she encountered.
Karine spent over 20 years of her life dedicated to the noble profession of nursing. Her career was a testament to her unwavering commitment to helping others, providing care and comfort to countless patients during their most vulnerable times. Her gentle touch and soothing presence were a source of solace for many, and her colleagues remember her as a beacon of hope and empathy in their shared mission.
In 1999, Karine married the love of her life, Sterling Reese, embarking on a journey of love and partnership that spanned 27 beautiful years. Together, they built a family and a home filled with love and laughter, raising two wonderful sons, Sterling and Brandon Reese. Karine's love for her family knew no bounds, and she took immense pride in her role as a nurturing and devoted mother.
Karine's legacy lives on through her two sons and her two cherished grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She was a guiding light and a source of unconditional love for her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her wisdom and warmth. Her family was her greatest treasure, and her love for them was evident in all she did.
Karine is also survived by her loving husband, Sterling Sr., who stood by her side for 27 years, sharing in the joys and challenges of life together. Her four siblings, Michaelle Peebles, Ralph Guillou, Mario Guillou, and Tamara Guillou, will forever hold her memory dear, cherishing the bonds they shared.
In honor of Karine's wishes, a private funeral service will be held to celebrate her life and bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
