It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Marie Baker, who departed this world on July 1, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on May 16, 1945, in Rochester, New York, Karen spent her life spreading joy, warmth, and laughter to everyone she encountered. Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her three cherished grandchildren, Crystal Porey, Harley Baker, and Joseph Baker, as well as her precious great-grandchild, whose presence brought immense joy to her later years. Education was always important to Karen, and she proudly graduated from Penfield High School. Throughout her life, she nurtured a love of learning and creativity. Her days were often spent immersed in coloring books, novels, and the captivating storylines of her favorite soap operas. These simple pleasures brought her great contentment and fueled her vibrant imagination. Karen's life was a testament to her cheerful spirit and kindhearted nature. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and loved. Her selflessness and wit made her a cherished friend to many, and her laughter was a balm to those around her. Despite facing the challenges of glioblastoma, Karen remained an exemplar of strength and grace. Her courage and resilience inspired all who knew her, and her memory will continue to guide and comfort us in the days to come. A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held on July 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home. All who knew and loved her are welcome to join in remembering the beautiful life she led and the legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Karen's memory to support cancer research and those battling glioblastoma. Karen Marie Baker will forever be remembered for her joyful spirit, generous heart, and the light she brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
