Karen Branch

May 29, 1948 — June 24, 2026

With heavy hearts yet deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Karen Branch, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Karen gracefully departed this world on June 24, 2026, at Jackson General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 78 years old. Born on May 29, 1948, in the warm embrace of Milan, Tennessee, Karen was the cherished daughter of William and Dorothy Brawley. Her childhood, rich with the love of her family, sowed the seeds of a life defined by compassion, strength, and resilience. She carried these qualities throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Karen's life was a tapestry of love and dedication, woven intricately with her marriage to her devoted husband, Donnie Branch. Together, they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and mutual respect. She was a doting mother to her children—Michael Branch, Barry Branch, and Stephanie Branch Mayfield—each of whom carries forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and integrity. A sister to Susan Brawley and a beloved sibling to her brothers, Ronald and Paul Brawley, Karen was the heart of a close-knit family. She found joy in family gatherings, where her laughter was a melody that brought warmth and joy to every occasion. Karen's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family. As a proud grandmother to six and a great-grandmother to four, her home was a haven of warmth and acceptance, where every child found a listening ear and an open heart. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever cherish the stories she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the immeasurable love she gave so freely. Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of Karen's physical presence, we find solace in the reunion with her predeceased son, Robert Branch, whose memory she held dear throughout her life. Karen's legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she shared, and the memories cherished by those who knew her. To honor and celebrate Karen's life, a service will be held on June 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God in Milan, Tennessee. Family and friends are invited to join us in paying tribute to her remarkable journey, to share stories, and to find comfort in shared memories. The church, a place of solace and community for Karen, stands at the heart of Milan, where she found and shared so much love. Karen Branch's life was a testament to the beauty of a heart filled with love and a spirit unwavering in its strength. As we say goodbye, we carry her spirit with us, guided by her example of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. Though she has left this earthly realm, her legacy endures, a beacon of love and hope for all who were fortunate to know her.
