Karen Borm

Karen Borm, born on April 27, 1959, left this world on August 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and laughter. She was the cherished daughter of the late David and Arlene Borm, whose nurturing laid the foundation for her compassionate spirit. Karen's journey on earth was filled with passion and dedication, particularly in her chosen career as a registered nurse. After graduating from Marist College, she embarked on a lifelong mission to heal and help others. Her commitment to her profession was matched only by the kindness she showed to everyone she encountered. Her smile, ever bright and welcoming, had the power to uplift spirits and bring joy to those around her. Nature was Karen's sanctuary. She found peace in the simple pleasure of tending to her vegetable garden, a reflection of her nurturing nature. Her love for the outdoors was perhaps only rivaled by her affection for her beloved dogs, whom she delighted in dressing up for Halloween each year. Family was the cornerstone of Karen's life. She adored every moment spent with her daughter Danielle Howard ,and her husband Joe. Her grandchildren, Brianna, Amiya, Amora, and Gavin, along with his wife Samantha, and great-grandson Eli, were the lights of her life. Karen's sister, Donna Wright, her husband Harold, along with a large extended family and countless friends, will forever cherish the memories of the happy times shared and the love she so freely gave. Her life was a testament to living fully and embracing each day with enthusiasm. Whether it was a quiet moment in nature or a lively family gathering, Karen made it all seem magical. Her zest for life and the genuine joy she found in small things drew people to her, creating bonds that will endure even in her absence. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Wilson Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care and support provided to Karen.
