With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Karan Faye Kruse, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, on May 12, 2026. She departed this world in the comfort of her own home, nestled in the loving embrace of her family. Karan's journey began on September 23, 1944, in the quaint town of Barnes, Kansas, where she was born to Orval and Edna Perkins. Karan's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service. She was a proud graduate of the Barnes High School class of 1962. Shortly after, on June 12, 1965, she married the love of her life, Lavern Richard Kruse, embarking on a journey of love and partnership that spanned over 61 beautiful years. Together, they cultivated a family rooted in love, respect, and unwavering support. Karan's career was marked by her diligence and integrity as a legal secretary, a role she cherished and excelled in for many years. Her attention to detail and commitment to her work were admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Beyond her professional achievements, Karan's heart and soul were dedicated to her family and her faith. She was an active member of St. Mathews Lutheran Church, where she found solace and community, contributing to the church's mission with her time and efforts. Karan's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Lavern, her cherished daughter, Monica, and her beloved son, Mark. She was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life, and the adoring great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Though preceded in death by her dear brother, Dean Perkins, Karan's spirit continues to shine through her extended family and friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and grace. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Karan's life at a service to be held at St. Mathews Lutheran Church on May 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM. It is here that we will gather to honor a life so beautifully lived, to share stories of love, laughter, and the indelible mark she leaves on each of us. In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of Karan's laughter, her unwavering love, and her dedication to those she held dear. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of love and light. Rest in peace, dear Karan. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the lives of those you so profoundly touched.
