February 20, 2000 — March 20, 2026

It is with profound sorrow and tender memory that we announce the passing of Kameron ShaQay Sandlen, who departed from this world on March 20, 2026, at the age of 26. Kameron's life, though tragically cut short, was an inspiring testament to love, resilience, and strength. Born on February 20, 2000, in Mayfield, Arkansas, Kameron was the cherished son of Ann Buie and Kem Sandlen. His vibrant spirit and warm heart were evident from a young age, and he grew under the nurturing guidance of his beloved family, including grandparents Gene Sandlen and Betty Holmes, who predeceased him and undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into eternity. Kameron was a proud student of Pine Bluff High School, where he distinguished himself not only academically but also as a talented athlete. As number 2 on the football team, Kameron exhibited a passion for the game that was matched only by the camaraderie he shared with his teammates. Football was not just a sport for Kameron; it was a brotherhood, a place where he forged lasting friendships and learned invaluable life lessons. Beyond the field, Kameron was the embodiment of kindness and generosity, traits that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter was a balm to the soul, his smile a beacon of joy. Kameron's legacy continues through his precious daughter, Kamren Sandlen, who was the light of his life and the inspiration behind his every endeavor. His deep love for Kamren was evident in every moment shared and every dream he held for her future. He is survived by his devoted parents, Ann Buie and Kem Sandlen; his loving sisters, Daja Sandlen and Deya Sandlen; his cherished stepsisters, Ametria Harris and Demetria (Chad) Brooks; and his caring brother, Zion (Dedra) Willis. Each of them carries a piece of Kameron's heart, a testament to the bonds of family that transcended all else. Kameron's life, though ended by the senseless tragedy of gun violence, remains a powerful reminder of the beauty and fragility of each moment we are given. His story is one of courage and love, and it is one that will continue to inspire those who knew him. A celebration of Kameron's life will be held on March 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church, located at 8011 Hwy 63. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Kameron's warmth are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor the life of an extraordinary young man whose memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Though we grieve his loss, we are comforted by the knowledge that Kameron ShaQay Sandlen's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he loved and those who loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love that he so generously shared during his time with us.
