KALEB RUCKER
October 9, 2010 — May 19, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of our beloved Kaleb Rucker, who departed this world too soon on May 19, 2026, at the tender age of 15. Kaleb was born on October 9, 2010, in Memphis, Tennessee, and in his brief yet impactful life, he left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know him.
Kaleb was the treasured son of Demetricia Rucker, Jason Randolph (step-father), and Cornelius Newsom . Though his time with us was tragically short, Kaleb’s legacy is one of joy, creativity, and boundless love. His grandmother, Sharon Rucker, who predeceased him, now welcomes him with open arms.
A student of life with an insatiable curiosity, Kaleb had a passion for art and computer graphics. His vivid imagination and artistic talents provided a window into his beautiful mind, and he often spent hours immersed in creating digital masterpieces. Alongside his love for art, Kaleb found joy in the world of video games, where he connected with friends and explored new worlds.
Kaleb was a beacon of light with a smile that could illuminate the darkest of rooms. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and loving nature were gifts to all who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend. He had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and cherished, and his absence leaves a profound void in our hearts.
Kaleb is survived by his loving parents, Demetrius Rucker, Jason Randolph, and Cornelius Newsom. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings, brother Kylan Randolph, and sisters Kaliya Randolph and Nyla Newsom. His doting grandparents, Willie Rucker, and James and Robbin Newsom, along with his devoted aunts Shemeka Rucker, Reneitha Rucker, Pamela Wolfe (Christopher), Terra Newsom, Kandiest Newsom, Shonda Newsom, and Latrice Newsom, will forever hold him in their hearts. Kaleb also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A service to celebrate Kaleb’s life will be held on July 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at MJ Edward's Funeral Home. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone for their outpouring of prayers, love, and support during this unimaginably difficult time. As we gather to honor Kaleb, we are reminded of the kindness and compassion he so beautifully reflected in his life. Though Kaleb’s earthly journey was brief, the impact he made will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
In his memory, let us strive to embody the kindness and compassion that Kaleb so naturally exuded, ensuring that his spirit continues to shine brightly in our lives.
