In Loving Memory of K. Marie Taylor
November 12, 1939 - May 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved K. Marie Taylor, who peacefully departed this world on May 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on November 12, 1939, in the charming town of Cameron, North Carolina, Marie was a beacon of love and kindness, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.
A beloved daughter to Joe and Myrtle Thomas, Marie was the heart of a close-knit family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Bobby, her cherished sisters Alma, Beatrice, and Cherry, and her dear brother Billy Joe. Her legacy continues through her loving children, Cathy and Jeffrey, her treasured sisters Joan, Jean, and Patricia, and her supportive sisters-in-law Wanda and Patsy. She also leaves behind her dear brother-in-law John, four adoring grandchildren, including her granddaughter Kara, and three precious great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Marie’s professional journey was marked by her dedicated service at Naval Avionics in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she worked tirelessly until her well-earned retirement. Her colleagues remember her as a person of integrity and warmth, who always had a kind word and a smile for everyone.
Outside of her professional life, Marie was a creative soul who found joy and peace in crafting. Her hands were never idle, and her home was filled with the beautiful creations that reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life. To many, she was not just a craftswoman but an artist whose work brought joy to those around her.
Marie’s family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Baptist South Hospital for their compassionate care and support during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory may be made to the Edgewater Animal Shelter, located at 605 Mango Tree Dr, Edgewater, FL 32132, an organization close to her heart, reflecting her lifelong love and compassion for animals.
As per her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. During this time of profound loss, we invite those who knew and loved Marie to remember her for the joy she brought into the world, her unwavering love for her family, and her enduring spirit that will continue to inspire us all.
Marie’s gentle presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories of those who were privileged to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared in life.
