Juzo Oshiro
February 17, 1932 — June 17, 2026
Juzo Oshiro was born on February 17th, 1932, to Usa and Taro Oshiro. He grew up in Waipahu along with his siblings Wallace, Leatrice (also known as Yuriko), Rioin, and Saburo (who passed away young). In 1950, he graduated from Waipahu High School. Juzo served in the coast guard during the Korean war. He spent a lot of his life working at the post office. He got married on June 21st, 1957 to Doris. He loved to travel and was able to visit much of the US and various other countries. He especially enjoyed visiting Las Vegas. He was treasurer of the Gushichan club and was very involved with his Okinawan roots.
On his day to day, he enjoyed watching sports on tv and playing Sudoku. He was also very into food and loved eating shrimp. Juzo passed away in his sleep at a care home on June 17th, 2026. He will be remembered as a generous and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
