January 9, 1989 — May 13, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Justin William Brooks, who left this world on May 13, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on January 9, 1989, in Omaha, Justin was a spirited soul whose life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Justin was the cherished son of Kristine Bailey and the late Steven A. Brooks. He was a loving brother to Jeremiah Corey and Angel Thuringer, and a devoted grandson to Judy Williams. Though never married, Justin was a loyal and steadfast friend to many, especially Justina Colvin, Stefan White, and Stephen Coble, who stood by him through thick and thin. A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Justin found joy and fulfillment in his work at Lewis Installers and Cobblestone Car Wash. He was known for his unwavering loyalty, integrity, and a heart as vast as the skies he loved to roam on his cherished motorcycles. Justin was an active and dedicated member of the First Lutheran Church, where his faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of his life. He firmly believed in the power of a good heart, and his actions spoke volumes of his commitment to living a life filled with kindness and sincerity. In his leisure time, Justin found solace in nature, particularly while fishing. It was during these serene moments that he connected deeply with the world around him, finding peace and contentment. Despite the challenges he faced, Justin remained a very happy individual, bringing smiles and joy to those around him. His unique outlook on life, encapsulated in his parting words, “f* it all,” was a testament to his resilient spirit and his ability to embrace life’s imperfections with humor and grace. As we gather to honor Justin’s memory, a private funeral ceremony will be held on July 6, 2026, allowing family and close friends to say their goodbyes in an intimate setting. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Justin’s generous nature and his desire to help those in need. Though Justin did not have children or grandchildren, his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a world that is a little less bright without his laughter but infinitely richer for having known him. May Justin rest in eternal peace, enveloped in the love and light he so freely gave to others.
