July 30, 1982 — July 11, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Justin Richardson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left this world peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 43. Justin was at home, surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous and valiant battle with myelodysplastic syndrome that eventually turned into leukemia. Born on July 30, 1982, in Normal, Illinois, Justin was the cherished son of Cathy Johnson Richardson and Jeff Albee. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Cathy, and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Johnson. Justin will forever be cherished by his devoted wife of 18 years, Christy Richardson, whom he married on June 20, 2008. They shared a bond that was both deep and enduring, spending nearly every day together as each other's best friend and favorite person. Justin's legacy continues through his six children, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is survived by his two adult children from a previous marriage, Heaven Richardson-Sotis, 25, and Hunter Richardson, 19, residing in Georgia. At home with Justin and Christy were their children Ireland, 17; McKenna, 14; Rowan, 13; and Lincoln, 11. Justin's love for his family was boundless, and his playful spirit could lift their moods with just a glance. A proud Marine, Justin served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Marine Corps from 2001 to 2007. Rising to the rank of Sergeant, he was a Squad Leader during Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah, Iraq. His bravery and dedication were recognized with a Purple Heart and the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat "v". Justin found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to fish and cherished his time at the beach, where he found peace and tranquility. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Justin had a unique ability to make those around him laugh, always ready with a joke to brighten the day. A celebration of Justin's life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the VFW Post 3031, located at 11160 N Old Wire Rd, Rogers, AR 72756. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a GoFundMe set up to support his family during this transition. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Elite Hospice for their unwavering support during Justin's final days, with special thanks to Steph C., whose compassionate care and friendship provided comfort to Justin and Christy. Justin Richardson's legacy of love, laughter, and courage will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing he made a difference in the world and in the lives of those he loved.
