In Loving Memory of Justin James “JT” Thomas
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Justin James “JT” Thomas, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on March 10, 1987, in Ft. Worth, Texas. JT left this world unexpectedly on September 6, 2026, in Plano, TX leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
JT was an extraordinary soul, blessed with a heart of gold and an infectious spirit that brightened every room he entered. His untimely departure was due to a sudden, unforeseen heart condition, coupled with his lifelong battle with narcolepsy and sleep paralysis. Despite these challenges, JT's zest for life was unmatched, and he embraced each day with laughter, love, and an unwavering passion for those around him.
Family was the cornerstone of JT's life. He was cherished by his devoted wife, Kristy Ann Thomas, with whom he shared a beautiful bond since their marriage on October 13, 2023, in Garland, Texas. Together, they celebrated life’s joys and adventures, creating a sanctuary of love and laughter.
JT was a loving father to his bonus children: Samantha and Craig Applewhite, Kyle and Addison Smith, and Kaden and Carmen Smith. He was also a doting uncle to his nephews London, Carter, and Cameron, and his niece Paris. His sister Siranda, brother-in-law Jason, along with an extensive network of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends, cherished him dearly.
He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Carol Lord Thomas, and his nurturing Nanny, Martha Carol Owen, who embraced him with open arms on his journey home.
JT's professional life was spent in landscaping at Encore-Prysmian Wire, where he forged strong ties with his colleagues, creating a brotherhood that will profoundly miss his presence. He was a man of many talents, known for his skills in hat shaping, fence building, and diesel mechanics. His love for sports, particularly college football, was legendary, with the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys holding a special place in his heart.
A master of the grill and a passionate cook, JT found joy in entertaining family and friends with sumptuous meals and infectious laughter. His vibrant personality shone brightest when he was poolside, dancing, telling jokes, and making memories with those he loved. Whether camping, fishing, traveling, or attending concerts, JT embraced every moment, seeking out new experiences and adventures.
Though JT's time with us was far too short, his spirit and legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we remember JT, let us celebrate his life by embracing the joy and love he shared with the world.
In honor of JT, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, allowing his generous spirit to continue touching lives.
We will forever hold JT in our hearts, where his laughter will echo and his light will shine eternally.
