In Loving Memory of Justin Demetsky (October 20, 1976 - March 31, 2026) With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for the time we shared, we announce the peaceful passing of Justin Demetsky on March 31, 2026, at his cherished home in Salt Lake City, UT. Born on October 20, 1976, in Charlottesville, VA, Justin lived a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering optimism. Justin was the beloved son of Michael Demetsky and the late Johnnie Chambers-Heitz Demetsky. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Michael, and his brothers, Nate and Baz Demetsky, who were not only his siblings but his lifelong friends and confidants. A dedicated student and athlete, Justin pursued his education with vigor, earning a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Phoenix. His time playing football at Robert Morris University was a testament to his determination and team spirit. His professional journey led him to a successful career in sales across various industries, where his charismatic personality and unyielding work ethic left a lasting impression. Justin's faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was an active and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through his involvement with youth groups and sharing his testimony, he inspired many with his genuine faith and uplifting spirit. The church community was a source of strength and joy for Justin, and he cherished the fellowship it provided. Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Justin was a man of many passions. He found joy in games of all kinds, from the strategic depths of Chess and Stratego to the playful challenges of Gin Rummy. These games were more than pastimes; they were bridges connecting him to friends across distances and time. Those who knew Justin will remember him as joyful, enthusiastic, and relentlessly optimistic. His resilience and resourcefulness were evident in every aspect of his life. A good friend to many and a fun uncle to the children in his life, Justin embraced every opportunity to bring joy and laughter, especially when donning the red suit and white beard as Santa Claus at holiday gatherings. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for providing Justin with a foundation of unwavering faith and an incredible community of support throughout his life. As we say goodbye to Justin, we hold onto the memories of his infectious laughter, his generous spirit, and his profound impact on those who were blessed to know him. While his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him. A memorial service will be held to honor Justin's life. Details of the service will be shared by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to youth programs within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in memory of Justin's enduring commitment to nurturing faith and community. May Justin rest in eternal peace, his legacy of love and light shining bright in the lives of those he touched.
