Junior Henley

April 26, 1976 — May 21, 2026

It is with profound sadness and loving memories that we announce the passing of Junior Henley, who departed this life peacefully on May 21, 2026, at Noland Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Born on April 26, 1976, in Lawton, Oklahoma, Junior was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose spirit and laughter touched all who knew him. Junior was a man whose life was filled with love, joy, and a deep commitment to his family and community. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Sherri Henley, who stood by his side through every season. Together, they built a life of shared dreams and cherished moments, and their love was an inspiration to all who knew them. Junior was the proud and devoted father of Abigail Henley, who is married to Sam, and Aidan Henley. His children were the light of his life, and he found immense joy in every moment spent with them. He was also a beloved son to his father, Billy Henley, and stepmother, Kareen, who survive him. He is remembered fondly by his siblings: brothers Daniel (Molly) Henley, Christopher Henley, David Flowers, Chris (Leslie) Flowers, Perry (Leslie) Flowers, Ethan Henley, and sisters Missy (Jason) Nunnelee and Amanda (Enddy) Sani. Junior was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, whose lives were enriched by his playful spirit and tender heart. He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Johnson Henley, and his nephew, Chase Henley, whose memories he held dear. Junior dedicated his professional life to serving as the maintenance man at White Oak Shores in Eufaula, Alabama. His colleagues and community members knew him as a man with an unparalleled work ethic, a quick wit, and a warm smile that could light up any room. Junior's willingness to lend a helping hand made him a beloved figure in his community, and his absence will be deeply felt. An avid fisherman and hunter, Junior found solace and joy in the great outdoors. Yet, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with Sherri and their children, creating memories that will forever be cherished. A celebration of Junior's life will be held on May 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Gloves Funeral Home, located at 3121 South Eufaula Ave, Eufaula, AL 36027. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the life of a remarkable man who gave so much to those around him. The Henley family extends their deepest gratitude to Noland Hospital in Dothan, AL, for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Junior and the family during his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Junior's memory, a tribute to his generous spirit and love for helping others. Junior Henley lived a life full of laughter, love, and kindness. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
