In loving memory, we honor the life of Julius Bernard Posley, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on May 1, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on October 1, 1952, in Niles, Michigan, Julius led a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. Julius was the beloved son of Jerry Posley and Ruth Robinson, both of whom predeceased him, along with his brother Jeremiah and his dear wife, Harriet. Julius and Harriet shared a beautiful life together, having married in 1974, and together they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Harriet's passing was a profound loss, but Julius continued to honor her memory through his enduring love for their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his devoted children, Polly Posley of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Julius Posley of Kankakee, Illinois, who carry forward his legacy of warmth and generosity. Julius was also a loving brother to Janet Love and Michael Posley, both of whom reside in Benton Harbor, Michigan. His family was the center of his world, and he found immense joy in the company of his 8 grandchildren, for whom he often crafted exquisite wooden furniture, each piece a labor of love. A proud alumnus of Niles High School, Julius dedicated 37 years of his career to serving the City of Niles, where he was known not just for his hard work but for his infectious smile and quick wit. He retired in 2014, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and community members alike. Julius was also a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Church, where he found spiritual solace and community. Julius's passions were as varied as they were enriching. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and camaraderie in the quiet moments by the water. His Harley rides were legendary among friends and family, embodying his zest for life and love for adventure. But perhaps most enduring was his warmth and humor, qualities that made him a beacon of joy and comfort to all who knew him. Always just a phone call away, Julius was the person friends and family turned to in times of need, knowing they would be met with compassion and understanding. The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Julius's life on May 8, 2026, at 10:00 am at Mt. Calvary Church. It is here that we will gather to remember the man whose legacy of love, laughter, and unyielding kindness will continue to inspire us all. Though he has left this earthly realm, Julius Bernard Posley's spirit remains alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. May his memory be a blessing and his soul rest in eternal peace.
