Julie Nelson
November 6, 1974 — May 13, 2026
Julie Nelson, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 13, 2026, in Murray, Utah, due to medical complications. Born on November 6, 1974, in Logan, Utah, Julie was a light in the lives of all who knew her. Her warm and generous spirit, nurtured by her loving parents, Roger and the late Jean Nelson, will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
Julie spent her formative years in Trenton, where she graduated from Sky View High School in 1993. She furthered her education at Bridgerland Applied Technology College, completing the Secretarial program, which laid the foundation for her lifelong career in the secretarial field. Julie was a dedicated professional, known for her exceptional customer service skills and her ability to make everyone feel at ease. Her career took her to various places, but her most recent position was at Privacy Link, where she was cherished by her colleagues and clients alike.
Julie had many hobbies and interests. In her youth, she was an avid softball and volleyball player. Her love for dancing was well-known; she was a regular at Retrix on western nights, where she found joy on the dance floor. Julie had a love for nature and animals, finding peace and solace in the outdoors. She enjoyed sitting around a campfire, sharing stories and laughter with loved ones and friends. In her later years, Julie cultivated beautiful flower gardens and took pride in her skill at starting plants, especially peppers, which she generously shared with friends and family. She enjoyed being an uber driver for her oldest niece and nephew and having meaningful conversations with them. It was a highlight in her life whenever she made a trip to Blackfoot to hang out with some of her other nieces and nephew.
Those who knew Julie will remember her as a beacon of kindness and compassion. She had an innate ability to help others, often seen with treats in her church bag to delight the children around her. Her gentle spirit and infectious smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Julie is survived by her father, Roger Nelson, her siblings, John (Jessica) Nelson, Katie (Klade) Oleson, and Kelly (Jackie) Nelson, as well as her cherished 13 nieces and nephews. Her mother, Jean Nelson, and both sets of grandparents predeceased her, and we find comfort knowing she is now reunited with them.
A Graveside Service for Julie will be held on May 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Trenton Town Cemetery, located at 609 South 400 West. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Julie are invited to gather in remembrance of her remarkable life and the joy she brought into the world.
In a world that often feels hurried and disconnected, Julie reminded us of the power of kindness and the profound impact of a life lived with love and generosity. While she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers Julie would have wanted you to make a memory with your loved ones or do a kind deed for someone in need.
