Julie Marie Clark

December 8, 1933 — May 11, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Julie Marie Clark, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Julie peacefully departed this world on May 11, 2026, in the comforting embrace of her family at her home, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Born on December 8, 1933, in Americus, Georgia, Julie was the cherished daughter of George and Ella Mae Williams. She grew up surrounded by the warmth and wisdom of her grandmother, Minnie Jackson, whose influence was evident in Julie's nurturing spirit and boundless generosity. Julie's early years were shaped by the vibrant community of Americus, a place that remained close to her heart throughout her days. Julie was a proud graduate of Staley High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the National Business College in Nashville, Tennessee. Her strong work ethic and dedication led her to a fulfilling career with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, where she served with distinction for nearly two decades before retiring in 1989. Her commitment to community service continued as she volunteered with the Grandparent Mentor Program, offering guidance and love to young elementary school children. In 1954, Julie married the love of her life, Sampson D. Clark, and together they built a beautiful family centered around love, faith, and mutual respect. Their union was blessed with children Brenda Cohen, Jacqueline Greenhill, and David Clark-Lomas. Though her beloved husband Sampson, and sons Donald and Michael Clark, preceded her in death, Julie found solace and joy in the company of her four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her later years. Julie was a pillar of strength and grace within the Concord Missionary Baptist Church community, where she served as a Senior Mother Board member and an active choir participant. Her inviting smile and generous nature were a testament to her deep faith and love for her fellow congregants. Julie's presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. In honoring Julie's life, a celebration of her remarkable journey will be held on May 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Family, friends, and all those touched by her kindness are invited to join in remembrance and gratitude for the beautiful life she lived. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jerrisha and Alia, whose dedicated care and support provided Julie with comfort and dignity in her final years. Their compassion and commitment will forever be remembered and appreciated. As we bid farewell to Julie Marie Clark, we hold her memory close, cherishing the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and the enduring spirit of family. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who have gone before her, in the loving arms of the Lord.
