Obituary It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Christensen on August 28, 2026. Born on November 15, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to LeVere and Betty Lloyd. Julie spent her final moments at St. Luke's Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho, surrounded by the love of her family. Julie was a beacon of warmth and strength, sharing nearly 51 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Craig Christensen. Together, they nurtured a wonderful family, raising four sons—Brandon, Brian, Danny, and Kelly—and a cherished daughter, Nichole. Julie was a proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, who brought her a lot of joy. Throughout her life, Julie was a committed homemaker, taking on various roles to support her family, including working at Harmon's Grocery Store, a greeting card representative, a florist, and even a groundsman for a tree company. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, and despite not completing high school, she instilled in her children the importance of education, always striving to provide them with opportunities she never had. A member of the LDS Church, Julie found great joy in working with children, particularly in the Primary and Sunday School. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many within her community. Julie had a love for the outdoors, enjoying camping and fishing; passions she shared with her family. She supported their adventures, from boating trips to tennis and volleyball, even if she sometimes preferred to watch from the sidelines. Her enthusiasm for family gatherings and games of "Full Combat Yahtzee" brought joy and laughter to all who participated. Preceded in death by her parents, LeVere and Betty Lloyd, her newborn son Joshua, in-laws Leonard and Evelyn Christensen and sister in law Linda Meikle. Julie's legacy of resilience and love of family will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. A funeral will be held on September 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located at 1950 East 10600 S. Sandy, Utah. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Gerald Henderson, the doctors at St. Luke's, and the compassionate nurses of the ER, ICU, and Hospice. "Angels do walk the earth; we call them nurses". The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for your prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
