It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Ann, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who peacefully left this world on September 26, 2026, at the age of 94. Julie was born on January 27, 1932, in Fresno to her loving parents, Bruna and Thomas DeMaio. From an early age, she exuded a warmth and kindness that would go on to touch the lives of many. Julie was a devoted wife to her late husband, Gerald Ralph Stoeckinger, with whom she shared a beautiful life after their marriage on August 23, 1958. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Mark and his wife Desa, and Lisa and her husband Orlando, who survive her and continue to carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. A woman of remarkable intellect and grace, Julie graduated from Catholic Girls High School and pursued higher education at Immaculate Heart College. She spent several years nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher, leaving an indelible mark on each student she taught. Her dedication extended beyond her professional life into her spiritual commitments, where she was actively involved in her church and The Legion of Mary. Julie's life was rich with creativity and passion. She found joy in needlepoint, sewing, gardening, baking, cooking, and engaging in various craft projects. Her attention to detail was matched only by her generous hospitality, making her home a welcoming haven for family and friends alike. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren—Robbie and his wife Tori, Thomas and his wife Aly, Scott and his fiancée Arad, Juliet, Lucca, and Helena—and her three great-grandchildren, Luke, Cal, and Charly. Julie's family was the center of her universe, and her love for them was boundless. Julie spent her final years surrounded by the love and care of her family and dedicated caregivers. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Erma, Ryan, Josephine, and Edith for their unwavering support and compassion over the last seven years. A celebration of Julie's life will be held on October 15, 2026, at St. Monica's Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Julie's memory. Julie Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a love well-shared.
