Julia Ochoa, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026. Born on June 25, 1938, in the picturesque town of Santa Barbara, Mexico, Julia was the eldest child of Emilio Ochoa and Natalia Meda. Her upbringing in a large family instilled in her a sense of responsibility and care, qualities she carried with her throughout her life. Julia's life was a testament to love and dedication, especially to her family. She shared over 50 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Francisco Jimenez, a partnership that was the cornerstone of her existence. Together, they raised eight wonderful children—two sons and six daughters—whom she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting. Her family continued to grow, blessing her with 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to Julia. A woman of warmth and kindness, Julia had a remarkable ability to connect with people. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand endeared her to many. Whether tending to her beloved plants or crafting beautiful handmade gifts for friends, Julia's hobbies reflected her generous spirit and her love for creating beauty in the world. Julia's home was her sanctuary, where she poured her heart into caring for her children and cultivating a welcoming environment. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. A service to celebrate Julia's life will be held on August 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Saint Margaret Mary Church. In honoring her memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, a gesture that reflects Julia's giving nature.
