Julia was the cherished daughter of Pauline and Jim Fanning, who preceded her in death, along with her dear sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Marc Naylor. Her family roots were deep, and she carried the values instilled in her by her parents with grace throughout her life.
A proud alumnus of Gladstone High School, Julia embarked on her journey with a heart full of dreams and a spirit eager to embrace the adventures of life. Her career was as vibrant and varied as her personality. Julia dedicated her talents to the Yakima Horse Track, where she cultivated a love for community and service. Later, she took on the role of manager for the Misses Department at JCPenney, where her leadership and eye for fashion were admired by colleagues and customers alike. Her final professional chapter was with the East Valley School District, where she contributed with enthusiasm and care.
Julia's life was a tapestry woven with love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Jeremy Hunter, and daughter, Samantha Juarez. Her nurturing spirit extended to her ten grandchildren—Brandon, Tyson, Lillian, Kylee, Irene, Zaila, Maddie, Jazzy, Mateo, and Dominic—and three great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Kenzie, and Rightly, who were the joys of her life. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Shawn, Cathy, Blaine, Daniel, and Johnny, and numerous friends who were like family.
Julia's warmth and kindness were her defining characteristics. She was known for her caring nature and her unwavering love for her family. Her passion for getting ready and shopping, along with her joy in selling makeup, were expressions of her vibrant personality and zest for life.
In memory of Julia's beautiful journey, the family has established a memorial fund at Valley Hill Funeral Home, ensuring that her spirit of giving continues to touch lives.
As we celebrate Julia's life, we remember her not only for the roles she played but for the light she brought into every room she entered. Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
