It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Julie Murray, who left this world suddenly on February 27, 2017, at the age of 51. Julie was born on June 6, 1965, in Homer, Louisiana, to her beloved parents, Elizabeth and John Brown, who have since predeceased her, along with her cherished grandparents. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Julie's life was a testament to love, warmth, and laughter. She is survived by her three daughters, Brittney, Cassie, and Haley, who were the light of her life, as well as her adored grandchildren, Chloe and Laikyn, who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter. Julie was blessed with three grandchildren who will continue to carry her spirit forward. Julie attended Bernice High School and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and kindness. Her warm smile, funny laugh, and the sweetest hugs were a source of comfort to all who knew her. Julie had an incredible gift for making those around her feel loved and valued. Her hobbies included a love for fixing her hair, a pastime that brought her joy and allowed her to express her vibrant personality. Julie also cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by her family. She was an avid collector, finding beauty in the small treasures of life. A service to celebrate Julie’s life will be held on March 2, 2017, at her cherished church, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and find solace in shared memories and stories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Julie's generous and giving spirit. The family of Julie would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and prayers they have received during this difficult time.
