Judy Carter

Judy Carter was born on April 23, 1945, in Roxie, Mississippi, to Otis Hiram Buckles and Lucy Buckles. On October 10, 2026, she passed away peacefully at Trend Healthcare. Judy is remembered by her children, Donna Shiers and her husband Chester, Donald E. King, and Lisa A. King. Her six beautiful grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, and her ex-husband, Charlie Carter, who held a special place in her life and is still special to her children. Preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Lucy, her brothers William, Charles, and James Buckles, her sisters Betty Populis, Lillie Thomas, Clara Holland, and Alice Buckles, an infant son, John David King, and Douglas Elmer King, the father of her children. Judy's life will be celebrated with a service on October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, located on Morgantown Road. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman who loved her family. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the warmth of Judy's smile, a life well lived and joy of life.
