March 28, 1952 — May 31, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Judy Majors, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on May 31, 2026, at the age of 74. Judy passed away at her home in West Blocton, Alabama, after a courageous bout with shingles. Her strong spirit and warmth touched all who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished. Born on March 28, 1952, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Judy was the cherished daughter of the late Boss Manuel Perry and Janie McCulley Perry. Growing up in a loving family, she was the sister to Brenda, Betty, Myrtle, Bartee, and Dorothy. Preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband Michael Earl Majors, and her siblings Brenda, Betty, Myrtle, and Bartee, Judy now joins them in eternal peace. Judy's life was a testament to love and resilience. She married the love of her life Michael on March 14, 1973, with whom she shared a fulfilling and happy life, raising their two sons, Ronnie Earl and Keith, along the banks of the Cahaba River. Together, they wove a tapestry of cherished memories, filled with laughter, love, and the simple joys of fishing and family gatherings. Michael's untimely passing on June 8 1999 left a void, yet Judy's strength and devotion to her family never wavered. An alumna of West Blocton High School, Class of 1970, Judy was known for her intelligence and her ability to provide answers to any question. Her nurturing nature and passion for life found expression in her role as a dedicated caretaker of her children and grandchildren. Her kitchen was often filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking, a haven where family and friends gathered to celebrate life's moments, big and small. Judy's love for Auburn Football and the West Blocton Tigers was rivaled only by her love for her family. She delighted in keeping up with her friends and family on Facebook, always eager to share in their joys and offer support in their trials. Her legacy of love continues in her surviving family: her sons, Ronnie Earl (Regina) Majors and Keith (Christie Hall) Majors; her sister, Dorothy West of West Blocton; her grandchildren, Daniel/Chloe and Hartley Mae, Remi/Jayden, Kole, Michaela Majors, and Walker Holloway; her great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Judy's life will be celebrated on June 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Blocton Third Baptist Church, located at 85 Church Hill Loop, West Blocton, AL 35184. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join in honoring her memory and celebrating a life so beautifully lived. Robert Smith will be officiating the service at the church. Immediately after please join the family at Hillcrest Cemetery for the interment of her ashes. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the love and memories Judy leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, reminding us of the strength found in family and the enduring power of love. Though our hearts ache with her passing, we are comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace, reunited with her beloved Michael and her family who preceded her. Judy Majors, a beacon of love and kindness, will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
