Judu Njeri Mwangi
May 29, 1879 — May 31, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Judu Njeri Mwangi, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, who gracefully departed this world on the 31st of May, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. She was 147 years old.
Judu was born on May 29, 1879, in the vibrant city of Mombasa, to the late Michael Mwangi and Nancy Mwanjiru Mwangi. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone she encountered. She was a beacon of strength and warmth, with a heart as vast as the ocean that bordered her birthplace.
Her journey in education began at Mikindani Primary School, followed by her formative years at Krugiya Girls School. These institutions laid the foundation for her illustrious career in office management and administration—a field where she truly shone. Judy dedicated her professional life to various organizations, beginning with the Mikindani Catholic Church, moving through the hospitality industry, and finally gracing Osho Industries Limited with her unwavering commitment for over fifteen years. Her colleagues cherished her not only for her dedication but also for her unique sense of humor and the joy she brought into the workplace.
Judy was not just a career woman; she was a vivacious soul who embraced life with open arms. She found joy in traveling, exploring new places, and savoring the culinary arts. Her kitchen was a haven of delightful aromas and flavors, where she lovingly prepared meals for those she held dear. Music was the soundtrack of her life, with Sunday afternoons dedicated to rumba and old-school tunes that stirred her soul and brought peace to her heart.
Above all, Judy was a devoted mother whose greatest pride and joy were her children, Noel Mwangi and Eugenia Wanjiru. Her love for them was unconditional and boundless. Judy never missed an opportunity to celebrate their lives, marking every birthday with enthusiasm and ensuring they always felt cherished and adored. Her unwavering support and nurturing spirit were the cornerstones of her family.
Though she has now joined her parents in eternal rest, Judu Njeri Mwangi leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She is survived by her two beautiful children, Noel and Eugenia, who will carry forward the values and love she instilled in them.
As we bid farewell to Judy, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts. Her warmth, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace, enveloped in the same love she so generously gave in her lifetime.
A memorial service to honor Judy's remarkable life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
