In Loving Memory

Judith Ellen Burdick
November 9, 1950 — March 18, 2026
Judith Ellen Burdick, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on March 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 75 years old. Born on November 9, 1950, in Quartz Hill, California, Judy's life was a testament to compassion, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others.
Judy was the cherished daughter of the late Russell and Catherine Burdick. She grew up surrounded by love and laughter, a foundation that she would carry forward throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Timothy Burdick, sister-in-law Nancy Burdick, and niece Angela Lamantia. These losses were profound, but Judy's strength and grace remained unshaken.
A proud graduate of Craig High School in Janesville, Wisconsin, class of 1969, Judy pursued her passion for nursing at St. Mary's School of Nursing in Madison, Wisconsin, graduating in 1973. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Cal State, Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing along with an Adult Nurse Practitioner certificate from Kaiser Permanente in 1980. She furthered her education with a master's degree in nursing from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Judy's career was an illustrious one, dedicated to the field of nursing with Kaiser Permanente, where she specialized in treating diabetes patients with empathy and expertise.
On December 28, 1991, Judy married the love of her life, Rennie Green, in a heartfelt ceremony in her hometown of Quartz Hill, California. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. For 35 years, their partnership was a beacon of commitment and joy, raising their son, Jared Green, and creating cherished memories.
Judy's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family and into her community, where she volunteered at the Palmdale Woman's Club, contributing her time and talents to those in need. Her artistic eye found expression in her beautiful paintings, crafts, and the handmade cards that brought smiles to many. In retirement, she traveled widely, embracing the arts and crafts with a zest that was uniquely hers.
A devoted mother, Judy's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Rennie Green, her son Jared Green, and her stepdaughter Tiffany Kennedy, along with Tiffany's children, Kierra Green, Arianna January, Amber, and Farasi Kennedy. Judy adored her three grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life. She leaves behind her brothers Tomas Burdick, Terrence (Billie) Burdick, and Anthony (Sharon) Burdick, as well as her sisters Anne Burdick, Faye Coleman, Kathy Burdick, and Bernita Burdick, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
Judy's life was a testament to her caring nature and artistic spirit. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and a life well-lived, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and community.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at a later date, where her friends and family will gather to honor a life filled with love and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a cancer research foundation of your choice, continuing Judy's legacy of caring for others.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love she so generously gave to the world.
