In Loving Memory

Judith cecil
October 10, 1934 — September 28, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Judith Cecil on September 28, 2026. Born on October 10, 1934, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Judith lived a life full of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and community.
Judith was a beloved mother to her daughter, Brenda Cecil, and her son, Roy Cecil. She cherished her role as a grandmother to her granddaughter, Stephanie Cecil, who was one of her greatest joys. Judith is survived by these close family members, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Throughout her 91 years, Judith brought warmth and comfort to everyone she met, not only through her gentle spirit but also through her many talents. She was particularly fond of canning food, knitting sweaters, and handcrafting blankets, hobbies that reflect her nurturing nature and her love for creating things that brought joy and comfort to others. Her handcrafted items were more than just fabric and thread; they were woven with love and compassion, especially the gloves she knitted for children and warm clothing she made for those in need within her community.
Judith’s love for the outdoors was evident in her daily long walks, which she often paired with delightful outings to dine with her family. These simple pleasures brought her great joy and were a testament to her appreciation for life’s gentle rhythms and the beauty of everyday moments.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Judith Cecil will be held on September 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 9016 Fort King Road. Family, friends, and all whose lives Judith touched are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Judith’s memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue her legacy of giving and community care.
Judith Cecil will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and the enduring strength of family. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
