In Loving Memory

Judith Ann Hibbitts
June 5, 1945 — September 20, 2026
Judith Ann Hibbitts, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on June 5, 1945, in New Kensington, PA, Judy was the cherished daughter of Evelyn Ostroskie. Her life was a tapestry of love, compassion, and dedication, woven together by the many lives she touched.
Judy was predeceased by her loving husband, Norman Hibbitts, with whom she shared a beautiful life since their marriage in 1977. Together, they lovingly raised a blended family of four children. Judy was also preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Ostroskie, and her dear brothers, Rudy Warchol and David Grabowski.
Judy's legacy lives on through her children: Tami McFarland (Duke), Debbie Hood, Diana Nash (Tim), and Boonie Galdoni. Her love and warmth extended to her five grandchildren, Adam (Nichole), Brad (Rhonda), Chad, Trevor (Alexys), and Trace (Elly), and her four great-grandchildren, Stetson, Reagan, Jovie, and Dayton. She took immense pride and joy in her family, and her nurturing spirit will forever be cherished by them.
Throughout her life, Judy held several jobs, dedicating herself to serving others with a smile. As a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W. 6563), she devoted countless hours to supporting veterans and worked as a bartender, forming lasting friendships along the way. Her commitment to community and country was unwavering.
Judy's Saturdays were often spent around a poker table, where her laughter and competitive spirit brought joy to her friends. She found tranquility in gardening and shared her love of nature with her grandchildren by building chicken coops together. Judy’s remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued was a testament to her kindness and generosity.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held on November 6, 2026, at Riverside National Cemetery, located at 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Her family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a veteran's organization of your choice in honor of Judy's dedication to serving those who have served.
In the words of her family, "Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories." Judy's life was a testament to these memories, and her beautiful soul will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. "How lucky are we to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to."
