Juanna Linn Cox, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Lakeview Manor in New Roads, Louisiana. She was 89 years old. Born on March 3, 1937, in Red Cross, Louisiana, Juanna was the daughter of Adrian James Owens and Martha L. Bergeron, who preceded her in death.
Juanna was a woman of profound faith and unwavering love for her family. She was a long-standing member of the First United Pentecostal Church of New Roads, where she found spiritual sustenance and a loving community. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, shaping her actions and inspiring those around her.
In 1954, Juanna married her first love, Albert L. Cox Jr. They shared many happy years together until his passing on May 10, 1998. Their union was blessed with a beautiful family, including their sons Robin R. Cox (and his wife Susan), Darrel D. Cox, James S. Cox (and his wife Suzette), and Justin K. Cox (and his wife Andrea). Juanna found immense joy and pride in her grandchildren—Kacey, Derick, Celina, Alaina, Eathan, Cody, Kellie, Kaitlin Achee, Courtney, and Zachary Graffia—as well as her twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her life was marked by the deep love she held for her family, whom she cherished above all else. She was predeceased by her son Dale Bradley Cox, her granddaughter Ashley Cox, and her siblings Juanita Teer, Patricia Owens, Adrienne Pizzolato, and Adrian J. Owens. Despite these losses, Juanna's resilience and capacity for love remained strong.
On June 1, 2012, Juanna found love once more and married Charles Marvin "Marvelous" Andre. Their marriage was a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship. Charles, affectionately called "Marvelous" by their grandchildren, survives her and continues to carry forward the legacy of love they shared.
