Juanita "Nita" Virden, a cherished resident of Evanston, Wyoming, passed away peacefully after a short illness on August 23, 2026. Born on October 26, 1941, to the loving parents Harald and Violet Burton, Nita lived a life full of grace, warmth, and generosity. Nita's journey began in the serene landscapes of Evanston, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for family and community. She was known for her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Nita was a devoted wife to James Edward Virden, affectionately known as Ed, with whom she shared a remarkable marriage of nearly four decades. Their journey together began on May 26, 1968, a partnership marked by love and mutual respect. Together, Nita and Ed raised their children with compassion and wisdom. Their family was a source of immense pride, though they faced the heartbreaking loss of their beloved daughter, Amy Virden, who predeceased Nita. Despite these challenges, Nita remained a beacon of strength for her surviving son and daughter-in-law, Jud and Andrea Virden, who were a constant source of joy and support in her life. While Nita did not have grandchildren, she cherished her role as a mother and nurturer to those around her, often extending her kindness beyond her immediate family. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where friends and family alike found comfort and laughter.
