With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we honor the memory of Juanita M. Watson, who peacefully departed this world on October 26, 2026, at her home. Born on July 28, 1939, in Burrton Kansas, Juanita was the beloved daughter of Charles Kenneth Thach and Nora Magdeline Thach. Juanita's journey was marked by a devotion to family, friends, and community. She spent her formative years in Peabody, Kansas, where she graduated from Peabody High School, laying the foundation for a life of learning and service. Her love story began in Wichita, Kansas, where she met and married the love of her life, Richard Alexander Watson. Together, they shared 31 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories, until Richard's passing in 1990. A dedicated volunteer throughout her life, Juanita found fulfillment in giving back to her community. Her unwavering spirit and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Juanita was the proud and loving mother of four children. She is predeceased by her daughter, Amy Annette Watson, who passed in 2009. She is survived by her children Sally Ann Watson, Leslie Kenneth Watson (Eleanor), and Richard Alexander Watson Jr. (Kristal) Her legacy lives on through her 3 adored grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life and will carry forward her values of compassion and generosity. In addition to her immediate family, Juanita will be fondly remembered by extended family members and a wide circle of friends who cherished her warmth and gentle spirit. In remembrance of Juanita, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, allowing her legacy of kindness to continue in meaningful ways. As we bid farewell to our beloved Juanita, we celebrate a life filled with love, service, and joy. While she will be deeply missed, the cherished memories she leaves behind will forever be etched in our hearts.
