Juana C. Cedillo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on March 19, 1938, to Manuel Cabrales and Juana Molina, who preceded her in death. Juana's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and resilience, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Juana married the love of her life, Raymond Q. Cedillo, and together they celebrated 70 beautiful years of marriage. Their union was a shining example of commitment and devotion, and their home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and the aroma of Juana's delightful cooking. Together, they raised six children: Gloria (Carlos) Hernandez, Martha Silva, Ramon Cedillo, Yolanda Cedillo, Cesar (Angela) Cedillo, and Carlos (Blanca) Cedillo, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A homemaker by choice and a nurturer by nature, Juana dedicated her life to her family. She was a beacon of strength and kindness, known for her quick wit and infectious smile. Her talents in crocheting and sewing produced countless blankets and clothes that now serve as tangible memories of her love and care. Juana also enjoyed the thrill of visiting the casino, where her lively spirit shone brightly.
Her family and friends will remember her as a woman of immense warmth and generosity, qualities that she passed on to her grandchildren: Carlos Hernandez III, Melissa Arroyos, Diana Cedillo, Robert Silva, Renee Cedillo, Julissa Lamonica, Manuel Silva, Brenda Cedillo, Marissa Cedillo, Alyssa Cedillo, and Raymond Cedillo. Great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Ruelas, Raymond Canava, Dominic Hernandez, Tony Luevano Jr., Andrew Canava, Ezra Silva, Venezia Silva, Neveah Franco, Hailey Lamonica, Aileen Silva, Ryan Lamonica, Heaven Arroyos, Faith Arroyos, Teigan Rutherford, and Skarlett Cedillo. Great-great-grandchildren: Leilah Escarcega, Jay Ruelas, Ramon Marcelo Cedillo, Camila Ruelas, Mariana Cedillo, Noah Martinez, Leia Canava, and Ryker Hernandez. Her love extended through generations and they will carry her legacy forward with pride.
Juana was predeceased by her siblings, Jose Angel, Isidro, Luis, and Lalo Cabrales, and Isabel Jimenez, Alfredo J. Ulloa, Robert Silva, Terri Cedillo, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Serenity Romero and Raymond Cedillo. Their memories, along with Juana’s, will be cherished forever.
The Cedillo family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Grace Pointe Wellness Center and Hospice El Paso for their dedicated support during Juana's final days. Their kindness and care provided immense comfort to Juana and her loved ones.
A celebration of Juana's remarkable life will be held on May 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home, located at 1755 N. Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79936. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived, sharing stories and memories that highlight Juana’s vibrant spirit.
Juana C. Cedillo’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we say goodbye, we remember a life filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering dedication to family. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
