June 24, 1964 — May 7, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Velazquez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on May 7, 2026, at the age of 61. Juan succumbed to liver failure, surrounded by the love and prayers of his devoted family. Born on June 12, 1964, in the vibrant landscapes of Puerto Rico, Juan was the cherished son of Anastacia and Gerald Velazquez. His upbringing in Puerto Rico instilled in him a deep appreciation for family, culture, and community—values he carried with him throughout his life. Though Juan has left this world, his legacy of love and dedication continues through his family. He was reunited in eternal rest with his beloved wife, Rita Velazquez, who predeceased him. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising their five children: Sabrina, Angelina, Renee, Rueben, and Juan. His children were his pride and joy, each carrying forward his legacy of kindness and strength. Juan's life was a testament to the power of love and resilience. A man of unwavering dedication, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, ensuring they had every opportunity to thrive. His gentle spirit and warm smile were a comfort to all who knew him, and his steadfast support was a pillar of strength for his family. Alongside his children, Juan leaves behind six adoring grandchildren who were a constant source of joy and pride. His grandchildren cherished the time spent with their grandfather, whose stories and laughter filled their hearts and home with warmth. Juan's family invites all who knew him to join in a celebration of his life on May 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The service will be an opportunity to honor and remember a man who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, integrity, and unwavering love. As we gather to celebrate Juan’s journey, we hold in our hearts the cherished memories of a man who lived his life with grace, compassion, and an unyielding love for his family. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever guide and inspire those he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a liver health organization of your choice, in memory of Juan Velazquez, as a tribute to the courage and strength he displayed throughout his battle. May Juan rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
