It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Hernandez, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully at his home on July 30, 2026. Born on May 15, 1953, in the vibrant city of Durango, Mexico, Juan was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew him. Juan was the cherished son of Thomas and Felicia Hernandez, who instilled in him the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Juan Francisco Hernandez, whom he now joins in eternal rest. A devoted family man, Juan is survived by his loving children, Maria Hernandez, Saul Hernandez, and Juan Fransisco Hernandez. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Andrea Hernandez, Juan Antonio Hernandez, Adrian Lopez, Saul Hernandez Jr., Adriana Shade, Mariana Shade, and Antonio Shade. Each of them carries forward his spirit, his laughter, and his enduring lessons of love and kindness. For 25 years, Juan dedicated himself to his work as a mechanic, spending many of those years in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to remain close to his family. He was known for his generous heart, always willing to offer his help without expecting anything in return. His garage was not just a place of work but a sanctuary where he could indulge in his passion for projects and share cherished moments playing pool with his grandchildren. Juan's quick wit and warm smile could light up any room. He was renowned for his humor, always ready with a joke to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His presence was a comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt by all whose lives he touched. A service to honor and celebrate Juan's remarkable life will be held on August 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Memorial Church, located at 2016 N 14th St, Ponca City, OK 74601. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering generosity. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Juan's giving spirit. As we say goodbye to Juan, we hold onto the beautiful memories and the lessons he imparted. His legacy will forever remain in our hearts, reminding us to live with love, kindness, and laughter.
