Juan Demetrio Pantoja
November 17, 1969 – July 4, 2026
With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Juan Demetrio Pantoja, who departed this life on July 4, 2026, at the age of 56. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Juan was a beloved son to the late Juan Jose Pantoja and Cruz V. Pantoja.
Juan's journey through life was marked by hard work, a passion for learning, and a wealth of talents. He attended W.B. Ray High School, followed by further education in Welding School and South Texas Career School. His career was as diverse as his interests, with roles ranging from a welder at Bradley's in Gregory-Portland, to a medical assistant at Adame Chiropractor, and most recently, a valued employee at Buffel Grass Seed Company.
A man of many interests, Juan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was spending cherished moments with his family or his beloved dog, Powder, Juan's heart was always full. He loved to travel and had a particular fondness for the great outdoors. Sundays were often spent grilling with family and friends, especially when accompanied by a football, baseball, or basketball game. His culinary tastes were as varied as his life, with a love for seafood, pasta, and Mexican cuisine.
Juan's vibrant personality was infectious; his smile could light up a room, and his laughter was a balm to many. He had an extraordinary gift for conversation, making everyone feel welcome and valued. Known for his kindness and generosity, Juan left a lasting impact on countless lives.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Daniel Pantoja, and his brother, Christopher Valdez. His legacy will also be carried forward by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and an abundance of friends and acquaintances who were touched by his warmth and compassion. Though Juan did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his family was his pride and joy.
In this time of sorrow, the family invites those who wish to honor Juan's memory to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice.
As we bid farewell to a cherished soul, we hold close the special message left by Juan, a gentle reminder that he leaves behind courage, faith, and love to guide us until we meet again.
"Who knew an angel would soon call me away and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I leave you with three things to help you get by. I leave you with courage that you might see your heart can't be rebuilt with a world without me. I leave you faith that you might believe the spirit will survive no matter how much we grieve. And I leave you love to comfort you in the healing and embrace till we meet again in another place."
Rest in peace, Juan. Your spirit and love will forever be etched in our hearts.
