November 13, 1953 — September 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. JT Pease, lovingly known as “Cowboy,” on September 27, 2026. Born on November 13, 1953, in Fannin, Texas, JT was a beacon of warmth and joy in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. JT was the cherished son of the late Marshall and Lucille Pease and was predeceased by his dear brothers, Marshall and Jimmie Pease. He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Trina Pease, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. JT was the proud father of eight children: Randy, Larry, Rachael, Tiffany, Shawn, Trevis, Kiona, and Cameron, and a doting grandfather to 14 grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. JT is also survived by his siblings, Joe, Malcom, Jeanette, Ronald, and Donald Pease, as well as Verda, Troy, and Roy Doyle, Bobbie Trotter, and Archie Randle, along with a host of nieces and nephews. All who will forever hold his memory close to their heart. With a heart full of love for the Lord, JT found solace in music, often filling rooms with his melodious voice as he sang along with Elvis Presley and grooved to the soulful tunes of the Temptations. His vibrant spirit and unmistakable presence left an indelible mark on the community of Terrell, where he was fondly remembered by the Terrell Police Department, who considered him one of their own, often taking his clothes to the cleaners along with theirs. Friends and family are invited to celebrate JT's life at a service to be held on October 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, located at 500 E. Frances, Terrell, TX 75160. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring JT's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. While JT’s physical presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, laughter, and music will continue to resonate with his family, friends, and the community he held dear. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family of JT Pease welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.

As I Sit in Heaven

As I sit in heaven and watch you everyday, I try to let you know with signs I never went away. I hear you when you're laughing and watch you as you sleep. I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home. So I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone. Don't feel guilty that you have life that was denied to me. Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see. So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free. Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
