Joyce Kathleen Fisher

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce Kathleen Fisher on August 10, 2026, at Meadowbrook. Born on August 8, 1945, in Gt. Yarmouth, England, Joyce's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and kindness. Joyce was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Robert C. Fisher, with whom she shared 43 wonderful years of marriage until his passing. Their union, beginning on April 3, 1965, was a testament to love, partnership, and mutual respect. Together, they built a family that would become Joyce’s greatest pride and joy. She was a cherished mother to her son, Ryan Fisher (MaryEllen), and daughter, Kim Wimett (Thomas), who will forever hold her memory close. Joyce’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Connor Wimett and Sierra Staley (Alec), who brought immense happiness and pride to her life. Her surviving brother, Lenny Bird, along with several nieces and nephews, will also carry her spirit forward. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her brothers, Michael Buller and David Bird, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her professional journey was marked by her graduation from CV-TEC in nursing in 1995, followed by years of caring service at Clinton County Nursing Home until her retirement in 2013. Her compassion and dedication to her profession touched countless lives, and her colleagues remember her as a beacon of kindness and strength. Beyond her career, Joyce found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid gardener, she spent countless hours nurturing her beloved plants. Her garden, much like her life, was vibrant and full of beauty. Joyce was also an enthusiastic member of her book club, where she shared her love for literature and formed cherished friendships. In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor her life. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Meadowbrook Healthcare for their outstanding care and support, and to the many friends who offered love and companionship throughout Joyce’s illness. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA or St. Jude Research Hospital in Joyce’s memory, reflecting her compassionate spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others. Joyce Kathleen Fisher leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her. May her soul find eternal peace.
