In Loving Memory of Joyce Daniels
It is with deep sorrow, yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Joyce Daniels, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Joyce peacefully left this world on April 16, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and shared memories that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on October 26, 1956, in the picturesque Netherlands, Joyce was the cherished daughter of John and Toetie Vandenakker. From a young age, Joyce's adventurous spirit and warm heart were evident to all who knew her. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family, including her siblings Johnny, Jackie, and Jeff, with whom she shared a lifelong bond.
After graduating from Sierra Vista High School, Joyce embarked on a successful career in the hotel industry, where she brought her kindness and hospitality to every guest she encountered. Her work at renowned establishments such as the Rivera, Circus Circus, Silverton, and Flamingo did not just earn her professional accolades but also lifelong friendships that she cherished deeply.
On May 8, 2004, Joyce married the love of her life, Jerry Daniels. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared adventures, especially enjoying camping and riding motorcycles side by side. Their faithful companion, a dog named Jack, was always by their side, adding joy and warmth to their lives.
Joyce's greatest pride and joy were her children, Dennis, Eric, Janelle, and Jessica, who were her heart and soul. She was a devoted mother, always there with a gentle word, and a warm embrace. Her legacy continues through her seven beloved grandchildren—Jacob, Ella, Jaylaa, Karli, Tyson, Mikaylah, and Gianna—who brought immense joy to her life and will carry forward her spirit of kindness and love.
Joyce's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She found joy in the simple things in life and taught those around her the profound beauty of living fully and loving deeply.
In accordance with Joyce's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her memory. While we mourn her passing, we find solace in the countless memories she has left behind and the love that will continue to guide us all.
Joyce Daniels will forever be remembered not only for her remarkable ability to light up a room but for the way she made each person in her life feel cherished and loved. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joyce's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and enduring kindness.
Though her journey on this earth has ended, Joyce's spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her. As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the love she gave and the lessons she imparted, grateful for the gift of her presence in our lives. Rest in peace, dear Joyce. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
