Joyce was the cherished daughter of Willene Wright Alves and Raphael Peter Alves, JB Chance and Lee Chance and in her formative years, she was nurtured by her devoted grandparents Lois and Charlie Wright. Her early life in McKenzie was marked by the warmth of a loving family and the values of compassion and generosity that she carried throughout her life. In love and partnership, Joyce found her soulmate in Joseph Coburn, with whom she shared 20 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories until Joseph's passing. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to helping others, and she was known for her open heart and welcoming nature. Joyce had a unique ability to see beyond the superficial, embracing everyone as family, regardless of their background. Her home was a haven for many, and she was known for her countless "adopted children," offering love and support to those in need. Joyce possessed a zest for life, always ready for an adventure and eager to try new things. She found joy in cooking, sewing, and crafting beautiful jewelry, hobbies that allowed her to express her creativity and share her talents with others.
