It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Joyce Ann Hues, a beloved member of our community, who departed from this world on April 4, 2026. Born on February 3, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Joyce was a beacon of warmth, compassion, and resilience. She left us peacefully at home, surrounded by love and the comforting presence of her fiancé, Paul Wilphal. Joyce was a cherished daughter of the late Diane Hugel and William R. Kock Sr., and a granddaughter to the late Helen M. Kock. She is survived by her devoted fiancé, Paul Wilphal, her estranged son, Jason Hues, her loving brother, William R. Kock Jr., and her two treasured grandchildren, who were the light of her life. A proud graduate of Oak Hills High School, class of 1981, Joyce's journey through life was marked by a profound dedication to service and care. She proudly served as a Drill Sergeant in the U.S. Army, where her leadership and strength inspired all who served with her. Her time in the military was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her country and the values she held dear. Following her military service, Joyce found her true calling as a home healthcare nurse. Her gentle touch and compassionate heart brought comfort to hundreds of families over the years. Joyce's ability to connect with people, offering them dignity and respect during their most vulnerable times, was a gift to all who knew her. Each family she cared for became an extension of her own, and her legacy of kindness will continue to ripple through the lives she touched. Joyce's life was a testament to love in its purest form. She was a loving partner to Paul, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother. Her family and friends will forever remember her infectious laughter, her generous spirit, and her unwavering belief in the goodness of people. She was a woman of strength and humility, who faced life's challenges with grace and courage. Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life she led. Joyce Ann Hues will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. A memorial service to honor Joyce's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the love and joy she brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Joyce's memory may consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in her name, continuing her legacy of care and compassion. May Joyce rest in eternal peace, knowing her life made a difference and her love will endure forever.
