With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Josiah Johnson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left this world on May 7, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on November 12, 1981, in San Antonio, Texas, Josiah was a beacon of strength and resilience, whose journey on this earth touched the lives of many. Josiah was the cherished son of Elizabeth and William Johnson, who have predeceased him, instilling in him the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance. These values guided him through a life filled with love and remarkable experiences. His parents' memory continued to be a source of strength and inspiration throughout his life. In the summer of 2000, destiny took Josiah on a transformative journey to Africa, where he met the love of his life, Aro Diallo. Their union was a testament to the power of love transcending borders, as they married later that year and celebrated their honeymoon in the breathtaking landscapes of Kenya, Aro's homeland. Together, they shared a devoted and joyful marriage that spanned 26 years, marked by mutual respect, admiration, and unwavering support. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Emiyah Johnson, who brought immense joy and happiness into their lives. Although Emiyah preceded Josiah in death, her memory remained an eternal light in his heart, a reminder of the enduring bond between father and daughter. Josiah's life was marked by courage, particularly during the final two years as he faced lung cancer with remarkable bravery and grace. His tenacity and optimism in the face of adversity were a testament to his indomitable spirit, inspiring all who knew him. His battle with cancer was not one fought alone; he was surrounded by the unwavering love and support of his family, especially his devoted wife, Aro. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Josiah's life, respecting his wishes and allowing his family to grieve in the solace of their shared love. Though we must say goodbye, Josiah's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. The Johnson family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In a special message from his loved ones, they share: "Forever in our hearts, rest well Mr. Johnson." In honoring Josiah's memory, may we all strive to live with the same grace, love, and courage that he exemplified throughout his remarkable life. Rest peacefully, dear Josiah, knowing you are deeply loved and missed.
