Joshua rogers
April 1, 1986 — April 3, 2026
With hearts heavy yet full of cherished memories, we announce the passing of Joshua Rogers, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend. Joshua left this world unexpectedly on April 3, 2026, just two days after his 40th birthday. He was born in Greenville on April 1, 1986, to his loving parents, Tammy Smith and Doyle Eddleman, who were the foundation of his early life, nurturing his kind and adventurous spirit.
Joshua's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication. He found joy in the simple pleasures, especially in the companionship of his loyal dog, Doyla. His bond with Doyla was a testament to his gentle nature and love for all creatures. Joshua was a steadfast family man, leaving behind his devoted wife, Courtney Lynn Olson Rogers, with whom he shared the beauty of life's journey, and their cherished children, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and resilience.
Educated at Lauren's High, Joshua embarked on a career that blended his creative talents and strong work ethic. He was a vital part of Eddleman & Sons Painting, where his skilled hands and eye for detail left a vibrant mark on every project. His colleagues remember him not only for his craftsmanship but for his infectious smile and unfailing generosity.
The Rogers family was the center of Joshua's world. He was a proud and loving grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. His family was his greatest treasure, and his love for them knew no bounds. Joshua was predeceased by his cherished family member, Davenport, and while he is now reunited with them, he leaves behind a family that will honor his memory every day.
A service to celebrate Joshua's life will be held on April 12, 2026, at 18:25 at King David Church. Friends and family are invited to come together to remember the joy he brought into our lives and to support one another in this time of loss. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the King David organization, a cause close to Joshua's heart, at kingdavd.
Joshua's family has established The Rogers Family Memorial Fund to continue his legacy of love and support. Contributions to the fund will help provide for those he loved most, ensuring that his spirit of giving endures.
In this time of mourning, we echo the special message from Joshua's family: "We wish the Rogers family love and support." May we all be inspired by Joshua's life to extend kindness and compassion to those around us, as he always did.
Joshua Rogers' journey on this earth was far too brief, yet his impact was profound. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, dear Joshua. Your legacy of love and laughter will never be forgotten.
