It is with the deepest sorrow and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Josh Barron Jr., who left this world far too soon on June 21, 2026, at the tender age of 15. Born on September 6, 2010, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Josh was a beacon of light, love, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Josh was the beloved son of the late Josh Barron and Anissa Barron, who predeceased him. Despite the heartbreak of their loss, Josh carried forward their legacy with grace and courage. He was a devoted brother to Sydney Barron and Luke Barron, who cherished him deeply. From an early age, Josh exhibited an insatiable curiosity and an incredible aptitude for understanding how things worked. His passion for mechanical engineering was evident, and he had plans to pursue this further by attending North Carolina A&T State University, following in the footsteps of his family. Josh graduated from middle school in 2023 and was expected to graduate from Charlotte Lab School in 2027. He approached his education with the same tenacity and enthusiasm he showed in every aspect of his life, forever eager to learn, grow, and make a difference. Despite the challenges posed by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Josh's spirit remained unbroken. His battle was fought with the courage and determination that belied his years, serving as an inspiration to all who witnessed his unwavering resolve. Josh's life, although short, was filled with the warmth of his smile, the kindness of his heart, and the strength of his character.
