Born on April 2, 1963, in the serene town of Swan Lake, Mississippi, Josephine was the beloved daughter of Beulah Mae Wallace and B.J. Wallace.
A dedicated daughter, Josephine worked alongside her mother at a local school in Mississippi, where her passion for nurturing young minds was evident. Her journey of life later took her to Minnesota, where she continued to touch lives with her kindness and warmth.
Josephine was a proud graduate of the Job Corps in Mississippi in 1982, an achievement that laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Her vibrant personality and infectious smile were known to light up any room she entered, making her presence felt and loved by all who encountered her.
Eighteen years ago, Josephine found her soulmate in Harold Johnson. Together, they crafted a life filled with joy and adventure, always cherishing the time spent together. Her love for cooking was as boundless as her love for her family, and she took immense pleasure in preparing meals that brought people together.
A devoted grandmother to 13 adoring grandchildren, Josephine's heart was filled with an endless love for her family. She found pure joy in spending time with her grandchildren, listening to music, and dancing. Her laughter and ability to make people smile were her trademarks, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Josephine is predeceased by her dear family members J.C. Wallace, Beatrice Shoemaker, Melvin Brewer, and Ella Brewer. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Johnson, who will forever cherish the beautiful memories they created together.
A celebration of Josephine's life will be held on October 2, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Josephine's generous spirit.
