Josephine Oma Wright

Josephine Oma Wright, a cherished soul born on October 27, 1936, in Muskegon, Michigan, peacefully departed this world on July 15, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and warmth that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Josephine was the beloved daughter of Charles and Daisybell Huff (Spears). Her early years in Muskegon were filled with the love of family and a strong sense of community. A proud graduate of the 12th grade, Josephine went on to build a fulfilling career in the manufacturing field, where her dedication and work ethic were widely admired. In 2004, she found love and companionship in her marriage to Jim Wright. The couple shared many wonderful years together until Jim's passing, which Josephine bore with characteristic grace and resilience. She was also predeceased by her son, Charles Clish; her sister, Edith Huff; and her brother, Albert Huff. Josephine was a woman of deep faith, whose life was guided by her strong Christian beliefs. Her spirituality was a beacon of light for her family and friends, providing comfort and guidance throughout her life. She was a talented and passionate crocheter, finding joy and solace in the intricate patterns and vibrant colors of her work. Her creations were not only beautiful but also served as heartfelt gifts for those she loved. Josephine is survived by her loving nieces, Diane LaNore (Huff) and Debar Stimac (Huff), and her devoted nephew, Daile Huff. They, along with countless friends and acquaintances, will remember her for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Josephine's life, in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Josephine's generous and caring spirit. The world is a better place for having had Josephine Oma Wright in it, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a love everlasting.
