In Loving Memory
Josepha Thomas
June 9, 1956 — March 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Josepha Thomas, who left this world peacefully at her home on March 5, 2026. Born on June 8, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, Josepha graced the world with her presence for 69 wonderful years, leaving an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to have known her.
Josepha was the beloved daughter of James and Martha Thomas, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for family. On August 29, 1978, she married the love of her life, Henry Thomas, in a beautiful ceremony in Georgia. Their union was a testament to enduring love and commitment, a wonderful partnership that spanned 65 years. Together, they raised four cherished children, cultivating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and boundless love.
Throughout her life, Josepha was a beacon of light and a source of strength to her family and friends. Her nurturing spirit and gentle wisdom guided her children and, later, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She delighted in the accomplishments of her nine grandchildren and was further blessed with the joy of welcoming 14 great-grandchildren into the world. Each of them was a testament to her legacy of love, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Josepha's life was filled with simple joys and profound faith. She had a passion for the beauty of nature, often spending her afternoons tending to her vibrant garden, where she found peace and solace. Her home was a sanctuary, where laughter rang through the halls, and her door was always open to those in need of comfort or a listening ear.
In honoring Josepha's wishes, a private funeral service will be held on March 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., where her family will gather to celebrate her life and the love she so abundantly shared. Though the ceremony is intimate, the memories of her kindness and the impact she made will be cherished by all who knew her.
Josepha Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were privileged to walk alongside her in this life. As we say our goodbyes, we hold onto the love she shared, knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of her beloved family and friends.
Rest in peace, dear Josepha. You are forever in our hearts.
